HOW TO GET
INVOLVED
- Say “no thanks” to the plastic straw and use reusables at home and on the go.
- Volunteer with Straw Free Jackson Hole.
- Assist with educational events in the schools.
Want to help? One way is to donate! SFJH is comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers, some of whom put in 15 to 20 hours a week. We’ve mentioned this elsewhere, but we aren’t just about straws! We are stepping into a larger role in the community of bringing together different players in the community from professors to members of the ISWR, to help Jackson reduce all single-use plastics – not just straws. We are excited about that, but it does mean we need some funding.
Are you interested in volunteering with Straw Free Jackson Hole? We need volunteers to assist with approaching restaurants, helping with citizen science and teaching workshops in our schools.
Help organize a plog! Students – engage in citizen science – it can ‘count’ as a science project in school.
